There's been no official word out on last week's Board of Trustees meeting and their decision on football, but the word that is circulating is that they decided to table the decision until next year.
It's a bit of an anti-climatic ending (though not an ending), but it's probably a prudent decision. Making a decision of this type (that would have a multi-million dollar impact on the school) would be tough to make just as one president retires and another takes over. This gives the board, and the rest of the school, an opportunity to hear Dr. Le Roy's perspective on the matter before handing down an ultimate decision. And it does seem ultimate at this point. Now or never.
